New Jersey Ski Council (NJSC) Information
TCSC is now a member of NJSC!
But what is NJSC? The New Jersey Ski Council (NJSC) is a not for profit, incorporated
council that provides group representation for all its members.
NJSC has existed for many years and benefits approximately 41
NJ
member ski clubs. There are also some NYS clubs like Onondaga Ski
Club in Syracuse and Long Island ski clubs which also enjoy the benefits
of NJSC membership. Now, the Triple Cities Ski Club has joined NJSC.
There is a nominal annual fee for each club's membership
(paid by TCSC) and many benefits.
What Benefits Does NJSC Membership Offer Us?
Membership Direct: This is a lift ticket discount program available at participating ski
resorts for members of NJSC. Individual members (like you)
of member clubs (like TCSC) are automatically members of NJSC. A
NJSC Membership Direct sticker is attached to the back of your TCSC
membership card, which you display when visiting the mountain. This
is an instant, on-the-spot discount. We'll have the list of
participating ski areas and the stickers in October.
Pre-Purchased Discount Lift Tickets: TCSC will order discount lift tickets (which are actually vouchers
that are converted to lift tickets when you arrive at the mountain.)
The tickets are available for places
like Bromley, Gore, Killington, Pico, Okemo, Sugarbush, Stratton, and Jay
Peak at deeply discounted prices. 2005-2006 prices
will be available by October and that information will be available to TCSC members
only. Click here to enter the
members-only area of this Web site.
2 Long Distance Trips Per Year: (Insurance coverage built
into price of ticket)
Domestic: Canada considered domestic and other places like Vail or Lake
Tahoe.
International: Last year trip to Japan with 5 additional days
option to visit China under $2000.
Other Ski Trips Now Available:
Trips Scheduled by other NJSC Member Clubs: Trips opened up to other clubs through NJSC, if openings still exist 60
days before trip departure. This is coordinated between the individuals
involved. Arrangements are made between that club and the TCSC individual.
The NJSC has its own system, but as you can appreciate each club is run in
its own way.
Skier’s Guide 2006 Guidebook: At time of Application to the NJSC we
filled out a form listing our officers, how to contact us and trips we had
planned. This information will be published in a Skier’s Guide 2006 issued
by the NJSC along with a listing of all other member clubs and their
planned trips. These books will be available for distribution at the
October Meeting.
We Need Your Help:
Come to the TCSC October meeting with ideas of what discount lift
tickets you wish to order. We will e-mail the 2006 prices to TCSC
members in advance so you will know before the October
meeting what you wish to do. Come to the NJSC desk and fill out a form
giving an estimate
of your ticket requirements. We will use that information to arrive at
proper inventory levels for tickets.
Have fun on the mountain and ski safe.
