Sorry to inform you... Telluride CO has increased their taxes for 2025, which will affect our stay in February 2025. We need to collect this by Thursday, 2 Jan 2025.
This increase is due to a new funding measure, 'SMART Ballot Question 3A,' which was passed by San Miguel County in September 2024. Our tour operator was just informed last week.
Total: 2.07% = 0.82% San Miguel RTA plus 1.25% SMART (Gondola)
The measure provides continued funding for the 'free' gondola connecting the town of Telluride to the Mountain Village, as well as funding for other regional transportation projects.
As a result, there will be an increase of 2.07% to the Lodging Tax for all reservations arriving in 2025, regardless of booking avenue. The additional due comes to a total of $20 per person via credit card.
You have a choice of paying by credit card = $20- / person ; or by check* $18.50 / person. Due - Thursday, 2 Jan 2025
Those of you who are receiving a credit refund, we will be removing this tax from your refund (to keep things as simple as possible). You will still be receiving a refund, however it will be $18.50 smaller than before.

Log into the ski club website: TripleCitiesSkiClub.com On the bottom right hand corner you'll see a balance due box. Click on it... and select the invoice for the $20 amount due, and pay with your credit card.
